Meet Aly Hoch – Always Striving To Be A Better Player

 In Uncategorized

At NC Fusion Field Hockey, Aly has been involved with the Club from its inception in Spring 2018.  Aly is a wonderful advocate and spokesperson for NC Fusion and is quick to share her experiences with the club when around other students who are interested in playing field hockey.  As a teammate, Aly has displayed leadership qualities through her work ethic, coachability and willingness to try things even when they may be difficult or uncomfortable. As a result, Aly has quickly moved to the top team in the U-16 age group and continues to strive to be a better player.  Aly volunteers for as many play days and tournaments as she can and is always looking for ways to advance her skills with the hopes of possibly playing in college.

In the fall, Aly will play varsity field hockey for West Forsyth High School. Aly is an excellent student and is very active in the school community. As a sophomore, Aly has a 4.1 GPA and participates in the Key Club, Youth Government (YAG), Christian Club, Care for Kids, Crosby Scholars and is a member of the Wake Wakos.  On the field hockey field, Aly started playing as a Freshman. Aly is incredibly athletic and her past experience as a gymnast was instrumental in her transition to field hockey. Aly is driven to succeed and is willing to put forth the extra effort to continue to improve her skills, fitness and understanding of the game with the goal of being a valuable contributor on the field as a varsity starter.
