REGISTER for NC Fusion Recreation Program

For those fairly new to the game or having never played or just looking to keep their skills sharp. Coaches will focus on dribbling, passing, receiving, attacking and defending. Participants will be split up based on age. The two hour Sunday sessions will consist of an hour of skills training followed by an hour of 7v7 games.

Ages: 4 – 16.

The NC Fusion Recreation Program is an eight-week recreation style training program for elementary and middle school boys and girls focusing on developing a strong foundation and grasp of the game. The recreation program fosters an environment conducive to enjoying the rewards of playing the sport of field hockey and being part of a club. This begins with the best attitude, simple-play philosophy, and learning the fundamental skills. Participants will receive 45 minutes instruction from our most knowledgeable coaches in group training sessions that focus on skill development (stick skills, passing, defense) followed by 45 minutes of game play each session.

We make 3 promises

  1. You will have fun.
  2. You will receive great instruction
  3. You will see individual growth.

Practice/Game: Eight sessions from on  Sundays, March 13 – May 8 (no training on April 17)

Travel: No

Evaluation: No

Required Equipment:

  • Mouthguard
  • Shinguards
  • Outdoor Stick
  • Turf shoes, cleats or sneakers

This equipment can be purchased through Dick’s Sporting Goods. You can also reach out to Aerial Field Hockey located in Charlotte and we will arrange delivery of equipment. Their website is www.aerialfieldhockey.com.

NC Fusion Field Hockey Middle and High School Leagues: Beginner through Advanced

Ages: 12 – 18

The NC Fusion Field Hockey Middle and High School leagues foster an environment conducive to enjoying the rewards of playing the sport of field hockey and being part of a team. Our leagues are set up for 7v7 play so that all participants receive instruction from our most knowledgeable coaches in league play.

General Time Commitment: 8 weeks on Sundays for 2 hours

Middle and High School Boot Camp

NC Fusion Field Hockey Middle and High School Pre-Season Bootcamp: Beginner through Advanced

Ages: 12 – 18

The NC Fusion Field Hockey Middle and High School Pre-Season Bootcamp will prepare players for the upcoming school field hockey season. The boot camp will focus on fitness and skill work throughout the summer leading up to the Fall school field hockey season.

General Time Commitment: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 1.5 hours

Travel: No

Evaluation: No

  • Summer: June – August
