NC Fusion Spring Programs

We are excited to announce the Spring 2020 NC Fusion Field Hockey programs and the opening of registration.  We have made a change to our structure in an effort to increase the competitive play for players in the Piedmont-Triad area.  All prices are inclusive, so no additional costs will be billed for additional play days. Please review the three different levels of commitment.

NC Fusion Select U16 & U19 (Teams of 16-18 players)

This is the highest level of competitive field hockey. For those players looking for a competitive opportunity, wanting to improve their fitness and skill level.  Coaches will focus on both the technical and tactical aspects of the game in order to prepare teams to play in a regional 11 v 11 tournament, 7v7 tournament, and three play days. These teams will have 5 to 7 two hour sessions at Wake Forest University Kentner Stadium on Sundays.

Interested players must register for and attend an evaluation on March 1st at BB&T Sports Park  from 3:00 – 5:00

Evaluation Fee: $25 (Includes NC Fusion Field Hockey T-shirt)  Once selections are made after the March 1st evaluation, players will be billed the $715 through the Sports Connect registration system.  If not selected, the $25 will be credited towards the $495 for Select Development.

Program Fee: $715
Uniform is required and not included in the Program Fee

*Players will need to become a MEMBER of USA Field Hockey $60 if selected

20 Training Sessions

  • 3-5 @ Jefferson Middle School (Sunday)
  • 5-7 @ Wake Forest University (Sunday)
  • 10 @ BB&T (Wednesday)

 

Tournaments – Players participating in the Select Program are expected to participate in all Tournaments and Play Days. No refund will be provided for players unable to attend for any reason.

  • Regional Club Championships
    • U-16 RCC: April 13-14 | The Regional Training Center (Tentative)
    • U-19 RCC: March 30-31 | The Regional Training Center (Tentative)
  • Cougar 7v7 Tournament Richmond Virginia – May 23rd or 24th
  • Wake Forest Play Day
  • Ambush Play Day
  • NC Fusion Play Day

NC Fusion Select development U14, U16 & U19

For those players looking for a competitive opportunity and wanting to improve their skill level.  Coaches will focus on both the technical and tactical aspects of the game in order to prepare teams to play in 7v7 tournaments and play days. This team has two practices each week and will participate in one tournament and three play days.

Tournaments – Select Development players are strongly encouraged to participate in the tournament and play days. No refund will be provided if you are unable to attend for any reason.

NC Fusion Developmental Program U10, U12, U14, U16, & U19

For those fairly new to the game or having never played or just looking to keep their skills sharp. Coaches will focus on dribbling, passing, receiving, attacking and defending. Participants will be split up based on age. The two hour Sunday sessions will consist of an hour of skills training followed by an hour of 7v7 games.

  • Kelli Marshall: NC Fusion U-16 Coach. Played field hockey at Appalachian State University
  • John Marshall: Director of NC Fusion Field Hockey and Assistant Coach West Forsyth High School

Registration Instructions:

For returning NC Fusion field hockey players:
1) Click on the “Log In” button at the top of the page and enter your exiting username and password
2) Once in your account, click on the “Register Now” button at the top of the page
3)Select the appropriate field hockey program: Select, Select Development or Developmental Program
4) Proceed through the registration and submit payment
5) You will receive a confirmation email from Sports Connect

For players NEW to NC Fusion:
1) Click on the “New Player Registration” button at the top of the page
2) Create an account and add your player as a participant.  You will be asked to upload a copy of your player’s birth certificate.
3) You will then be able to select the appropriate field hockey program: Select, Select Development or Developmental Program
4) Proceed through the registration and submit payment
5) You will receive a confirmation email from Sports Connect
