Ashton is currently the head coach at RJ Reynolds High School in Winston Salem, NC. Ashton played field hockey at RJ Reynolds High School and played club for the Charlotte Ambush Field Hockey Club. She recently graduated from Appalachian State University, where she played field hockey at the Division I level for four years. Ashton also serves as vice president of the North Carolina Field Hockey Association (NCFHA).
